Admiral began as a uniform supplier to the Royal Navy in 1914 and has since built a solid brand. Its striking original logo, featuring a border pattern, is based on the sleeve insignia of an Admiral (British Navy Admiral). In the 1970s, the brand signed contracts with Manchester United, a major British national club, and the England national team as official sponsors. In the 1980s, the brand expanded beyond soccer to support sports such as cricket and rugby, establishing itself as a comprehensive sports brand. As a pioneer of sports fashion, which is now commonplace, the brand laid the foundation for tie-ups between professional teams and sports brands. Currently, in Japan, the brand offers golf, soccer, tennis, and training wear/equipment, and also supports professional athletes.
